Our 2024/25 Annual Report

.

Our 2024–25 Annual Report has landed, celebrating our first full year as Weave Hawke’s Bay and more than four decades of service to the region. Presented to members and supporters at our AGM this week, the report reflects a year defined by collaboration, community connection, and a growth in our impact throughout Te Matau-a-Māui/Hawke’s Bay.

Across counselling, financial mentoring, whānau support and early childhood education, our team supported thousands of whānau across the region. We grew our reach, deepened partnerships, and continued to respond to the complex realities our communities face every day.

Highlights from the year include:

  • 2,700+ whānau supported through our collective services and programmes
  • 5,400+ individual sessions of counselling, financial mentoring and whānau support
  • Expansion of counselling and group programmes in Wairoa and Central Hawke’s Bay
  • Strengthened partnerships with Health Hawke’s Bay, other NGOs and philanthropic funders
  • The launch of new community workshops giving kaimahi the tools to better support neurodiverse whānau
  • Investment in our people, with a focus on bicultural practice, wellbeing, and learning
  • Continued growth in our early learning services – Sunny Days and Bright Futures – providing quality care and education for over 200 local tamariki across the year.

Reflecting on the year, our CEO Kerry Henderson said the report captures both the challenges and achievements of a team deeply committed to whānau wellbeing.

“Our kaimahi are the heart of Weave. Every counselling session, every course delivered, every moment of support – it all weaves together to create real impact for whānau across our region. Our Annual Report is a celebration of that mahi and the strength that comes from working collectively, with compassion and purpose.”
